Internet Café

My story the internet café at DAB

computer blowing upA few weeks ago, I was asked if I would like to join the internet café at the DAB in Ipswich. I was terrified of computers and thought that if I touched a button it would blow up. I am a very shy nervous and very quiet person, each time I thought about going, my anxiety kicked in and prevented me from going but one day I plucked up the courage and went to one of the sessions. I was really nervous and shaking but the group were lovely people and very welcoming, especially Kelvin who sat with me and helped me feel comfortable with the internet. Sharon was lovely to work with too, she helped me very much. Dave was very helpful and nice and Paul was nice. They all make me laugh and I cannot remember the last time I laughed so much.

I have made so many friends there. I also keep in touch with Kelvin after sessions. I love being part of the group and I look forward to going to the sessions.  If anyone gets the chance to go to the internet café, my advice is just go and you will really enjoy yourself, I know I do. I would also like to say thank you to Albert, who encouraged me to go to the internet café.  Also, a big thank you to Pat who gave me the opportunity to write this piece and thank you to Kelvin, who is a good friend and also Sharon, Paul and Dave who make me feel so welcome and part of the group. They always make me laugh and feel better. Not only will you learn more computer skills, you will make good friends too.
